Norod having grown up on the South Shore of Boston was surrounded by a creative family, succeeding generations of Artists.
Norod graduated Skidmore College with a BS in Studio Art, in 2009 she was the recipient of the Jesse Soloman Award. Current representation includes Webster Company in Boston and Gallery ZG04 in Los Angeles. Norod has shown at Gallery 315 in New York, The Distillery Gallery in Boston, and The Warwick Museum in Rhode Island. Most recently Norod has been awarded the Presidential Scholarship for Lesley University where she will be receiving her Master’s in Fine Art 2018.
“My work forges a visual language filled with iconic, recognizable imagery, such as the bed and other interior settings, matched with forced perspective and a bold color palette. Psychology is a driving force for my work. This series explores the discovery of self and identity of how we form our closest relationships in life. Finding myself aware of my authentic feelings becomes an inner dialogue in my home. The combination of these objects with an exterior ambiguity and a forced perspective initiates a thoughtful examination of the interior spaces of the mind.”

Tanya Howard has created several “how to” videos demonstrating basic cooking techniques. In this video she teaches two of her cooking students (such handsome young men) how to make delicious homestyle waffles. Tanya will be leading another demo during West Medford Open Studios in our gallery kitchen…
Earl Howard has been working hard over the last couple of months getting ready for West Medford Open Studios. Earl’s studio is on Jerome Street Studio’s second floor – but he will be showing his work out of his house around the corner during WMOS. Those who are familiar with Earl’s work are already fighting over the first couple of batches coming out of his kiln 🙂
Stephanie Todhunter and Hilary Tait Norod are excited to announce that their work has been accepted into Miniatures , juried by Marni Katz. Please stop by Thursday night if you are up for a evening of fine art in Cambridge 🙂
