Cory Munro Shea
Administration | Since 2011 Shea has been the Assistant Director of the Cambridge Art Association (CAA). Within this position Shea manages the daily operations of a non-profit visual arts organization. CAA includes 500+ members and produces over 25 gallery shows a year at the Kathryn Schultz Gallery, University Place Gallery as well as satellite locations. In January of 2016 Shea coordinated CAA’s first ever ‘age’ show, bringing together New England artists ages 18-30 open in all media. The exhibition was juried by Mary Tinti Curator at the Fitchburg Art Museum. The exhibition was featured in Artscope’s January/February 2016 issue with the article titled. “A New Generation at CAA. “Beyond the Cambridge Art Association Shea co-curated two exhibitions at the Nave Gallery, Somerville Massachusetts, in November and December 2015 for emerging female artists. Exhibiting Artist | In November of 2016 Shea and fellow artist, Mia Cross will have a two person exhibition installed at the Fountain Street Fine Art Gallery located in Framingham Massachusetts, titled In Place.
